The Frequency Analyzer provides a powerful new way to look at the frequency content of audio material in real-time, as it plays in the SAWStudio MultiTrack. You may patch the analyzer into any input track to view individual signals, or into any output track, where you can see the combined mix of multiple signals, or still see any individual signal by using the solo buttons on the virtual console.

The Analyzer has a powerful interface that displays 50 individual bands of hi-resolution frequency filters. The meters respond in exact real-time and the response decay rate may be adjusted to four different speeds.

This product was designed by Hristo Doichev, assistant programmer to Bob, while employed at Innovative Quality Software.

The Studio Reverb algorithms used incorporate the same Comb/Allpass filter design found in many high quality rack mounted reverb devices, but the Studio Reverb takes this design to the max. You'll have up to 20 Comb Filters and 20 Allpass Filters, with Hi Frequency Diffusion control in each Comb Filter feedback path and a high quality sharp cutoff Bandpass Filter on the overall wet output, truly rivaling the more expensive rack devices in sonic quality!

The AVI Viewer plug-in makes sound editing to video a simple and affordable process in SAW. The AVI Viewer is assigned to a track of the MultiTrack through the FX Patch Builder window. The viewer will display multiple AVI video files to the computer screen without the need for any additional hardware, or to an external full screen video monitor with the use of specialized video capture boards. This video display is dynamically linked to the SAW MultiTrack environment and will track precisely with all MultiTrack cursor movements in any SMPTE mode, with sub-frame accuracy. As you move the MultiTrack cursor, the video display will chase accurately frame by frame or you may position the video with the viewer's scroll bars and the MultiTrack cursor will chase frame by frame. The link works both ways. Placing audio regions in exact sync with video becomes a simple procedure.

The Aux Send/Return plug-in adds some extra versatility to the SAW MultiTrack environment. Properly patched, it can create four Auxiliary Send controls and four Auxiliary Return controls within the MultiTrack environment. Multiple tracks of audio data can be sent in any proportion to one plug-in effects module (the Reverberator, for example), instead of individually patching the same effect on each track, minimizing the CPU processing load. You may also use the Send/Return module to truly emulate the Pre/Post function of a normal mixing console, or otherwise use it as a virtual mixing bus.

The Smpte Machine plug-in launches the SAW user into the world of SMPTE and MTC sync in a grand fashion! This module can generate phase accurate LTC SMPTEcode through any sound card audio output, in perfect sync with the sound card clock, no drift possible, with no additional MIDI or SMPTE hardware devices necessary. A multi-channel sound card guarantees perfect lock. It can also generate MTC MIDI code though any MIDI hardware port. It can also read LTC SMPTE code through any sound card audio input and trigger SAW Playback, Record or Simultaneous Record/Play operations within an average 30 sample accuracy on the Windows NT platform. This is less than one millisecond, which equates to less than 1/30 of a SMPTE frame. Again no additional MIDI devices are necessary!

The MeterBridge plug-in enhances your SAW environment with beautiful visual displays of individual or multiple track playback volume reference meters. The meters can be assigned to any track, including output tracks, giving you a live/real-time LED or VU meter display of your multitrack session. The displays can be mixed (LED/VU), labeled, and positioned anywhere, and all information is retained with your EDL. Now you can easily see levels anywhere within your session by simply placing your MultiTrack cursor and playing back. Placing meters on the output track lets you easily adjust your output offset volume to keep your mix below clipping. Meters retain the highest margin hit during playback, even after playback ends, for a quick visual reference of your overall mix level.
